Winter weddings are so chic and elegant but they can present a few more challenges than a summer wedding. With that in mind I’ve put together my top tips for making sure that your big day runs without a hitch!
1 – Warm up your guests
A warm welcome drink will ensure your guests are warm and cheery once they arrive and make an interesting alternative to bubbles such as mulled wine or spiced apple cider.
2 – Winter wedding favours
Cosy blankets, festive sparklers, mulled wine spices, candy canes or hot chocolate making kits will add a magical winter touch as a winter wedding favour.
3 – Check travel times
Bad weather can mean bad traffic so allow yourself extra time to travel to your ceremony – no matter the distance. Luckily at The Rose Hotel we offer complimentary use of the Rolls Royce so at least you’ll travel in style!
4- Let it glow
Use lighting to create a warm and festive atmosphere. Candles and tea light are an easy and affordable way to create a romantic setting.
5 – Time those photographs
Good light for photos can be gone as early as 2pm in the winter so make sure you plan your portrait time with your photographer to take advantage of the best light.
