Meet the team: Jennifer Dee - New Conference & Banqueting Manager

Today, we’re celebrating the recent promotion of Jennifer Dee to Conference & Banqueting Manager here at The Rose Hotel.

Jennifer started working in the Hotel as a restaurant supervisor back in 2019. With her fantastic work ethic and can-do attitude, Jennifer very quickly established herself as a hardworking and trustworthy individual, always happy to help out and support other members of the team while carrying out her duties.

In May 2022, Jennifer was promoted to the position of Duty Manager which allowed her to serve in a bigger capacity, helping to manage smaller teams and ensure excellent service delivery.

In August 2023, Jennifer was promoted to the position of Conference & Banqueting Manager – a prestigious position allowing Jennifer to manage and provide excellent services for banquets, weddings, conferences and other events in the Hotel.

Despite her busy work here in the Hotel, Jennifer has dedicated her time to the continuous development of her professional career. Within the last 5 years, she’s accumulated the following awards and certificates:

• Management Diploma with Pitman Kerry (2018 - 2020)

• Distinction in Developing Leaders in Hospitality (2021 - 2022) – Kerry College of Further Education 

• Assistant Green manager to Executive Head Chef Odran Lucey  (2022 - Present)

• Ambassador for Autism Awareness in the hospitality industry (Received award for The Rose Hotel with AsIAm 2023)

In her personal time, Jennifer has great interest in makeup and hair styling. She also enjoys knitting and even runs a couple of group knitting lessons in the winter time. For her, the best way to end a busy day/ week of work is a cold dip in Ballyheigue beach. Her hobbies include sea swimming and gardening.

Jennifer says the best part of her job is meeting people and the fact that every day is a different adventure.

“My job gives me the opportunity to learn and grow and I am exposed to new challenges regularly, which helps me develop both professionally and personally. I also enjoy the collaborative environment in my workplace.”
