- Posted on: 25/09/2023 -

Whether you are a Kerry local, a Tralee resident, or just visiting the Kerry Capital for the first time, you want to make the best of every minute you spend in the charming town of Tralee. In this post, we share a fun yet enjoyable way to spend 24 hours in Tralee including an extensive list of activities to choose from.

Let’s get into it.

6 am – 10am

If you are staying with us at the Hotel, you would be waking up to a beautiful sunrise and heading down to breakfast. Breakfast is served at The Park Restaurant at 7am (weekdays) or 7:30am (weekends). We provide a continental breakfast from the buffet, and a cooked breakfast from our menu.

If you aren’t staying with us, no worries at all. You can still enjoy a lovely breakfast at one of the cosy diners, restaurants, and pubs in the heart of the town. Here are some of our top recommendations:

• The Roast House, Denny Street (Monday – Saturday)

• Coffee Start, The Mall (Monday – Sunday)

• Yummy Cafe Market, Dominick Street (Monday – Saturday)

• NorthSouth, Russell Street (Monday – Saturday)

• The Daily Grind, The Mall (Monday – Sunday)

Perhaps you prefer to skip breakfast altogether, why not go on a relaxing “waterside” walk such as the Tralee Canal Walk or a walk around the Tralee Bay Wetlands. These walks are relatively easy, family friendly, pet friendly, and take about 2 hours to complete.

10am – 12 noon

After a nice hearty breakfast, you will want to sit back and relax while you prepare for the next group of activities. If you are staying with us at the Hotel, you can retire back to your room for a quick rest or catch up on recent events with a newspaper in the lobby. If you aren’t staying with us, this would be the perfect time to sit and enjoy the peaceful yet vibrant sights and sounds of the Tralee town park – just 5 minutes’ walk from the Hotel.
